More recently the treatment has become very popular with celebrities in America and Scandinavia as a non surgical way of obtaining a more youthful look. I am currently treating people in Spain & Mallorca with FRA. Over the years the treatment has developed from simple needle techniques to advanced electro-acupuncture and heated massage therapies which enhance the effectiveness of each treatment How does it work ? The Body is covered by a network of energy channels called meridians. Qi is the life force that travels along these meridian pathways. For Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture the patient is evaluated as a whole person, not just the face. Once the acupuncturist has decided on the treatment required tiny needles will be inserted into points on the face and sometimes hands and feet. Each treatment takes about 1 hour and during this time several different therapies will be administered to the face giving a firmness and glow that will improve with each treatment. The acupuncturist will give very careful attention to which points are selected in order to maximise the effect during each treatment. During the treatment a special blend of essential oils will be administered to the face with a facial massage to further enhance the treatment. It is recommended that a course of 10 weekly treatments are taken followed by a monthly top up treatment. Results can usually be noticed after 6-7 treatments although some patients notice changes earlier in the treatment schedule. |
