Female mid 40's Severe lower abdominal pain after a hysterectomy This lady presented with acute lower abdominal pain after her hysterectomy op. She was extremely sceptical about acupuncture but had been recommended to me by a friend and was willing to give it a go. She had no pain after the first treatment but insisted to continue the treatment for 2 months before she was sure that the pain had gone. She is now no longer a sceptic and has told her consultant about what acupuncture has done for her. Female late 20's Advanced Crohn's Disease This patient was a Physiotherapist who had already had part of her bowel removed due to the severity of the disease. Her bowels were active approximately 20 times per day and her abdomen produced constant, loud digestive sounds which were very embarrassing for her. Although very nervous she had decided to embark on a course of acupuncture with me as I had been recommended to her by a friend that I had also treated. Within the first 2 treatments the patients bowels were back to normal, one movement a day. She felt a lot better with more energy and confidence and her abdominal noises had disappeared. Female Early 30's Constant severe burning in the urethra This patient was a healthy female who had suffered for over a year with this painful condition. Her GP and consultant urologist could only offer pain relief drugs that had caused her side effects. The patient found it incredibly uncomfortable to sit down due to the pain and was also suffering from mild depression and insomnia. The patient said that she could not stand it any more. During the first acupuncture treatment the pain in her Urethra disappeared, the patient couldn't believe how quickly she felt better. Femail early 30's Infertility treatment This patient had been trying to conceive for several years, she already had a 4 year old son. She had had a fibroid removed from her uterus but still failed to conceive. After 7 acupuncture treatments this patient arrived for treatment at the clinic (glowing) and told me she was pregnant! Female, mid 50's, nurse, Severe case of Bells Palsy. This patient presented with distinctly distorted facial appearance on the right hand side of her face. She had been diagnosed by her GP as suffering from Bells Palsy ( a condition involving the deterioration of facial nerves in the facial tissue). I treated the patient twice with facial and distal acupuncture which completely cured the condition just in time for the patient to go on holiday. |
